LaBarre Pilates is a boutique Palm Beach studio rooted in precision, breath, and embodied strength. I created a complete identity system—including a custom illustrated emblem, a script typelogo, and a linear wordmark—designed to reflect the studio’s philosophy of ease, discipline, and elegance.

DESIGN CONCEPT
The identity draws its spirit from the Strength tarot card—an image of calm power, quiet confidence, and the harmony between human intuition and animal vitality. The illustrated emblem portrays a serene woman and a lion intertwined, their forms rendered in flowing botanical curls that echo breath, movement, and the graceful control that defines pilates itself.
Rather than depicting force, the illustration expresses strength through softness: a gentle tilt of the head, the tranquil gaze of the lion, and the organic lines that bind them together like roots or tendrils of energy. The mark becomes a symbol of what LaBarre embodies—discipline without rigidity, power without tension, elegance without fragility.
Supporting this emblem is a refined typographic system: understated, architectural, and spacious. Together, the illustration and typography form an identity that feels both timeless and intimate, as if the brand has existed long before it ever appeared on paper.
